For over 80 years, Universal Logistics Holdings, Inc. has been a full-service provider of customized transportation. Universal is one of the largest truckload transporters in North America and needed to hire more truck drivers to accommodate their growing volume of transportation sales. To reposition the company in their recruiting efforts, we worked closely with recruiting staff to derive messaging and produce photography and videos that showed real people at Universal to resonate with potential recruits and distinguish their company from the competition.

Fast Lane To Success

We launched a driver recruiting website to appeal to potential drivers nationwide and developed targeted advertising campaigns including print, digital and video media that told the story of what Universal meant to their drivers personally. To support their recruiting process, our team conducted an audit and created clear, concise descriptions of benefits, compensation and position requirements as well as online forms for candidates to immediately pre-qualify for open positions.

Careers that Move Forward

Our team developed the messaging “People Driven Solutions,” “Careers That Move Forward” and “We Move Forward Together” by highlighting how drivers are the backbone of Universal’s on-going success and that Universal could offer opportunities from coast-to-coast. Since the launch of the new website, online application forms, driver video testimonials and targeted advertising campaigns, the Universal Recruiting Office has seen triple-digit growth of recruits.
